North Bend Rail Trail
Stretching 72 miles across north-central West Virginia, the North Bend Rail Trail offers scenic views, historic tunnels, and easy access just steps from Main Street Estate. Head left to reach Tunnel #2, or right through town to cross the trestle over Middle Island Creek.
The trail features 13 original tunnels (10 passable), 36 bridges, and passes through charming towns like Cairo and West Union. Great for hiking, biking, and spotting wildlife, it’s a peaceful Appalachian route with a few ghost stories along the way—like the mysterious Silver Run Tunnel.




Doddridge County Farmers Market and West Union City Park
Located at the edge of town near the junction of Rt 18 and US 50, this local park features a playground, picnic shelter, trail access — and hosts the Doddridge County Farmers Market every Wednesday from 3–6 PM (seasonally). It’s a great spot to pick up local produce, baked goods, and handmade items while enjoying a relaxed community atmosphere.
